Coaching

Let It Blossom specializes in coaching teenagers and young adults with autism, ADHD and other neurodevelopmental disorders. Let It Blossom works from Positive Psychology, autism friendly methodologies and visual or creative materials. This is done through individual customized coaching, starting from the interest(s) and strengths of the adolescent/young adult. Own experiences (myself parent of teenager with autism) are also included in the coaching programs.
Parent counseling is also possible.
Coaching and other communications are offered in English and Spanish.
Coaching is possible online or in-person. Research shows that online coaching is equally effective as in-person coaching.
Let It Blossom focuses in particular on the following areas of interest:
- Resilience and Adversity Management: supporting young people in developing the capacity to face adversity with a strengthened mindset, teaching them strategies to manage stress and difficult emotions in a positive way.
- Realistic Optimism: helping young people to adopt an optimistic outlook without losing sight of reality. Through techniques based on Positive Psychology, I guide them to reinterpret their experiences in ways that promote their wellbeing and personal growth.
- Future Planning: together with the young person we visualise and build a future that reflects his/her aspirations, assisting him/her in setting clear and achievable goals that provide a sense of purpose and direction.
- Emotional Management: Let It Blossom offers strategies for emotional self-regulation and anxiety management, including mindfulness techniques and other evidence-based interventions, fostering greater emotional and personal wellbeing.
- Social Skills and Relationships: Let It Blossom teaches essential life skills, such as effective communication, empathy, and conflict resolution, which are fundamental to developing and maintaining healthy and fulfilling relationships.
- Personal Growth and Self-Acceptance: Let It Blossom guides young people on their journey towards self-awareness and personal acceptance, helping them to recognise and appreciate their own abilities and achievements.
Let It Blossom knows the limits of her support and treatment options and involves other healthcare partners where necessary. In this context, Let It Blossom works closely with a registered Psychologist . She can be involved if there are questions regarding psychological complaints.
Let It Blossom uses Mindfulness in its coaching programs. Mindfulness is being consciously present with your attention in the here and now, without distractions or judgements. Mindfulness is one of the first forms of therapy for people with autism whose effectiveness has been proven by scientific research. It can help people with autism experience more peace of mind and body. Mindfulness exercises help people with autism fret less by letting go of thoughts, experience less depressive feelings, less anxiety and middle stimuli.
Let It Blossom would like to involve parents closely in coaching and seek partnerships with educational organizations and other related professionals.
In addition, Let It Blossom organizes autism circles and, on request, inspiring workshops and knowledge sessions.
